Attendance
Regular attendance is expected and essential for a student’s successful    progress.  Regular absences will adversely affect level progression.
Make-up classes are allowed and must be made up within one month of the missed class, based on availability.  They are not guaranteed.
Classroom Etiquette
Students arriving late will not be allowed to participate in class.
Food, drinks, and chewing gum are not allowed in the studios. 
Please, no talking in class.
Hair must be secured neatly and pulled back away from face.  A bun is always preferred.
No jewelry in class.  (Pierced ear studs are acceptable.)
Students not in required attire will not be allowed to participate in class.
General Academy Rules
Dance clothes may not be worn outside the building.  Students must always cover up with “street clothes” when entering and leaving the building.
No children shall be left unattended.
Street shoes should be worn in and around the building.  NOT in the studios. Inclement Weather Policy
Classes are occasionally canceled because of extreme weather conditions. The Academy closes when  Conroe Independent School District closes due to extreme weather!  If weather conditions worsen after 3:00pm, contact the 
Academy office to confirm whether or not classes will be held.

Communicating with our staff
	We continue to have an open door policy.  All questions and comments are encouraged.  Keep in mind that most of our classes are back-to-back.  Therefore our staff has limited time in-between classes for discussions.  Please, if there is an issue or question that you need 
answered, let the front office know or leave a voice message so an 
appropriate time to meet can be set up.  We know there are issues throughout the year that come up and we want to be able to address them properly and give you the time you deserve to discuss them.

Text Box: Registration and Payment Policies
Each class is held a minimum of 35 times throughout the session.      Tuition is based on this, and is divided into nine monthly payment installments.  Therefore, payments are due each month, September through April, regardless of  the number of classes in a month.  Most classes are held 37 times per session, therefore if a class is not held due to a Holiday or cancellation there will be no tuition adjustment UNLESS your class is offered less than 35 times.  
The Last installment (May 2010) along with the registration fee is due upon enrollment.
Each of the 8 remaining payment installments will be automatically debited from the account you’ve provided on the payment authorization form.  These charges will be processed between the 1st and 4th day of September, October, November, December, January, February, March, and April.
Yearly registration fee: first child: $40.00; family: $65.00  (Due at Registration)
Families receive a 5% discount for each additional student.  Student with the least hours will receive the discount.
Class Registration is first come first served.
Classes will be closed once capacity is reached.
Students with overdue accounts may not be admitted to class.
Returned checks and insufficient funds charges will be assessed a  $35.00 fee.
If you wish to withdraw from the academy you must give 30 days WRITTEN notice to the front desk.  Tuition will continue until 30 days after notice given.
Refund Policy 
Tuition is non-refundable!
In the case of serious injury or illness verified by a doctor’s certificate, refunds 
may be made at the discretion of Payne Academy of Ballet!
There is no refund if you decide to withdraw!
